How We Started
Always Beautiful began in 2020 when our founder spent six months struggling with a damaged skin barrier after trying too many active ingredients at once. Dermatologist visits helped, but the products prescribed were effective yet loaded with synthetic fragrances that caused further irritation.
Frustrated by the choice between "clinical but harsh" and "natural but ineffective," she began formulating simple products that bridged the gap. The first batch of barrier repair cream went to friends dealing with similar issues. Their feedback -- and their reorders -- confirmed there was demand for something better.
Our Formulation Philosophy
We keep ingredient lists short and purposeful. Each component has a clear function: it either treats, protects, or delivers other actives more effectively. We do not add ingredients for marketing claims.
- Evidence-led. We use ingredients backed by published research, not social media trends.
- pH-conscious. Every product is formulated within the optimal pH range for its actives.
- Fragrance-free. No added fragrance, essential oils, or masking agents in any product.
- Tested on humans. All products are dermatologically tested and certified cruelty-free.
Ingredient Sourcing
Our hyaluronic acid comes from fermentation, not animal sources. Squalane is derived from olives. Plant extracts are sourced from certified organic farms where possible. We publish the full INCI list for every product on its packaging and product page.
Packaging & Sustainability
We use amber glass bottles and jars for products that need light protection. Pumps and caps are polypropylene, which is widely recyclable. Shipping boxes are made from FSC-certified recycled card, and we use paper tape instead of plastic.
We are not perfect. Some closures still contain mixed plastics that are harder to recycle. We are working with our manufacturer to phase those out by 2027.
Where We Ship
We ship across the United Kingdom via Royal Mail. Orders over forty pounds qualify for free standard delivery. We currently do not ship internationally, but are evaluating EU distribution for later this year.
